What is VOF?

Voice of Fetus (VOF) Nepal is a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO). It was registered with the Government of Nepal in 2009. It is also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) in Nepal.

VOF envisions the beauty and sanctity of human life as accepted and respected by people with the aim that abortion becomes unnecessary and fullness of life is assured to all. Its main mission is to strengthen and promote the value of human life.

From day one VOF has been working in the area of life issues.  This has been accomplished by strengthening and advocating the value of human life and the humanity of an unborn baby in a mother’s womb. All of its advocacy activities are performed in a loving, creative, non-judgmental and non aggressive manner.

VOF seriously prioritizes women in crisis-pregnancy rather than overlook their problem. It assumes that abortion can never be a genuine solution. Rather, it believes befriending, listening, loving and helping are all critical in the vulnerable state of these individuals in a time of crisis.  It believes that these individuals must be informed about wise and practical life saving choices that do not lead them to drastic elected abortion procedures. VOF strongly promotes parenting and adoption as an alternative for women in crisis (or so called unwanted) pregnancy.

VOF believes that it is very essential to make public aware on the harsh truth about abortion and its possible complications to the issue related a mother’s health, psyche and the implications for the family. VOF is mindful of the necessity of dealing with post-abortive mother and the family often devastated by the trauma related to abortion.

More to the point of all, VOF puts a lot of emphasis on moral living by individuals with the aim that we can prevent the situations that often lead women to abortion.  VOF is “life issue” focused but no less “Kingdom Issue” focused too.
