The massive earthquake of April 2015 caused damage to Nepalese infrastructures it was followed by many powerful aftershocks. Many lives were lost in the disaster and the survivors were in crisis. With surviving facilities overwhelmed, many pregnant women had been left without access to the healthcare they need to ensure the safe delivery of their babies. Thousands have also lost their homes, leaving mothers without a safe place to stay with their newborns. VOF Nepal gave a quick response in providing help and relief materials after the massive earthquake struck in April 2015. The earthquake relief program was conducted in 7 most affected districts of Nepal addressing the immediate needs of pregnant women and mothers. As a result of the relief work VOF Nepal was able to reach 235 pregnant women, 256 new-born babies to manage and new mothers respectively,705 lactating mothers and under 2 years kids respectively
